Q：What kind of job are you doing now in Niigata?
A： I teach as a part time instructor at Nagaoka National College of Technology and Niigata Seiryo University Junior College, as well as running my company Hao Peng You in Niigata City. The company handles Japan-China business consulting, interpretation, translation, and language classes for individuals and companies.
Q：Why did you decide to come to Niigata?
A： My father was an exchange student sponsored by Niigata Prefecture for one year. Since he loved Niigata so much, he recommended that I come.
Q：What was your first impression of Niigata? Has that impression changed?
A： When I first came to Niigata 15 years ago, I travelled from Harbin by train to Tianjin via Beijing, then by boat to Kobe, then by overnight train to Niigata. Now Niigata Airport has daily flights almost every day to China, so it has feels much more convenient. I look forward to seeing Niigata becoming even more international.
Q：How do you feel about your life in Niigata?
A： I am happy to be surrounded by friends I can trust in Niigata.
Q：Finally, tell us your future dreams and objectives.
A： I would like for Niigata to become even more international, and to expand my company so I can contribute even more to Niigata.
